John Glunt

John joined Blackmore and Glunt in 1976 as an outside salesperson. He completed his Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1976. John is a member of ASHRAE and has served on TC 6.1 (Steam and Hydronic Systems) since 1983. He was chairman of that committee from 1990-92 and is currently the Handbook Subcommittee chairman. He served as president of the Fluid Handling Representatives Association in 1994-95, 2005-2006, and 2014-2015. John was co-awarded a patent with his father, Gordon Glunt, in 1998 for the “Flange Adapter”, a cast, short-length concentric reducer that is drilled and tapped. The flange adapter is currently manufactured by Flow Conditioning Corporation. He has worked in both the St. Louis and Kansas City locations. John served as President of Blackmore and Glunt from 1999-2019, and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Kansas. He current serves as CEO.
